Encapsulation will dry to a brittle, non-sticky polymer that will not attract soil. The polymer encapsulates and emulsifies soils by coating the dirt and crystalizing it as it dries.
This is then easily removed during post cleaning and routine vacuuming. The product is also very effective when used in conjunction with absorbent pads allowing for rapid removal of soil in the carpet, rug or oriental rug or hardwood floor, leaving an almost completely dry surface!

1. So why the VLM method over steam? The answer is in the eco-friendly ingredients we use vs. the harsh chemicals and heat and moisture needed in steam cleaning to produce a superior result. Less moisture = less opportunity for mildew or mold growth!
2. Doesn't the dirt remain in the carpet or oriental rug? No, the extraction process removes the dirt using the polymers that encapsulate the dirt particles. Upon drying, remaining dirt particles crystalize in the solution polymers and are vacuumed away with a simple post-vacuum of the carpet when it is dry- within 1 to 2 hours of initial cleaning!
